We are incredibly grateful that most of you have been journeying with us for the past several years. As Betty likes to say, we have become family!
Yet we also know that there are many new visitors. So for those of you who are newer to the site or perhaps missed this the first time around, here is a video that summarizes our adoption story, which was the catalyst for this site.
Without getting too preachy here, I want to encourage you to throw your burdens on God and let Him do miracles in your life. He won’t let you down! He won’t leave you! He won’t let you go!
Preach on!
WOW! How moving. Carmen’s laugh and smile are awesome!! Love when Lauren comes up to her in the tub and she giggles and smiles all over herself! She is a precious precious litle girl!
I copied and pasted this to my facebook page, i hope that is OK?? I wanted to share your amazing story and amazing girls
Totally OK. Thanks!
I have seen the video before, but had to watch it again. Your family is such an inspiration to so many. You have a wonderful ministry through this site and through your story of your family. And Dave, your right, He NEVER lets go!
Thanks for sharing that again Dave, Love hearing Carmen laugh. God love you all, Joe
Thank you for the reminder……it’s such a great message to take in. Extra prayers for you today….
Can you do a utube link for this? I can never get a video from Vimeo. It’s always just black.
I hadn’t seen that before. Glad I didn’t put on mascara today. That is really a wondeful video of your story.
Carmen is such a precious little girl and Lauren is such a great big sister. I love the giggles and Carmen looking at Lauren with such love and awe.
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing your story. What a wonderful video for not only your family, but also to share with others. I am deeply moved by your faithfulness.
We are stepping out in faith and adopting a 3 1/2 year old girl with Down syndrome from Eastern Europe. My daughters are 16 1/2 and 19 and friends think we’re nuts. I just feel obedient.
So much to say yet words won’t come. Your faith is beautiful and I have no doubt that one day you will hear the words “well done, my good and faithful servant”. God bless you and your precious family.
This video is beautiful. I’ve followed your blog for a long time but never comment. My 5 year old Guatemalan princess prays often for Carmen. After viewing the video, she cried a little and then said “Mommy, baby Carmen will dance in heaven with Jesus.” Oh yes, the wonderful words of childhood faith!
I truly admire your faith. Your family inspires so many!
Dave- what a wonderful video! And so true – He Never lets go! Thank you for reminding us all of that! You are always in my prayers…..
Gabriel commented on how beautiful Carmen is several times during our viewing. Thank you for sharing. Your journey continues to touch my heart…:)
PS I have an idea for a searcher. Please email me.
That was beautiful, thank you!
I think of you all whenever I hear this song!
As long as I have been following your story I had never seen the video. wow! you guys are so amazing! The strength and courage is awesome! I have come to love your family over the last couple of years. I can’t imagine the pain. May God give you comfort and peace.
Elaine

Thank you for sharing this again Dave! I’m thinking of all of you. I know the sun shining down today is Carmen smiling and laughing in Heaven. Hugs and Love,
The Foisys
Dave and Lana,
Mary and my prayers are with you through this difficult time. Words cannot express fully how saddened we are by your loss. It is times like these when I think of “Foot Prints In The Sand”. I know God is carrying you threw these difficult times and that once your grief has subsided you will be able to look back at all the joyous times you had with Carmen. May God Bless and Keep you all in his Arms! Thank you for sharing your video with us.
